The crew had been looking forward to this year’s Round the Island Race for months and finally we assembled Thursday evening in readiness for training hard on Friday. Strong winds on our return sail from St. Vaast
Our Friday night crossing over to St. Vaast threatened to be very light on winds and I was worried we’d only get a couple of hours of decent wind as we departed.
