At least one of us is excited about the next 5 days sailing! By and large the family is more concerned with not quite knowing what to expect. Joe, it has to be said, is very excited.
We’re spending 5 days & nights together in a more confined space than we’ve ever done before – plus we’ll have the instructor with us. We’ll be spending the night aboard in Gosport tomorrow night and then making way probably to Cowes, Lymington, Yarmouth, Hamble and then back to Gosport.
Today was the last day and we set off early from the Folly Inn after a raucous night.
We headed back out of the Medina and were on the Solent at 8am crusing over for lunch in Langstone harbour. We sailed back through the submarine barrier to return the boat to Gosport for 4pm.

Started off with a lie in due the previous evening night sail.
Completed the man overboard drills under sail and then headed back to the marina where I sat a 3 hour paper on theory (general paper and navigation).
Dropped off 2 crew and picked up 2 more for the weekend.
Steak & Ringwood Ale pie for dinner.
