The sailing transit into Newtown River (aka Newtown Creek) is on a bearing of 130T and comprises a white ball on the shoreline behind a white/red ‘Y’ cup just outside the entrance.

The idea is to put the ball into the cup – which is how it seems depending on height of tide. These marks are not lit at night.
