We’ve just returned after a long days sailing. We spent the morning moving to a different (better) boat.
We had a load of safety briefings and Lou (the instructor) showed us how to do a few things. Mum steered whilst Lou and Dad operated the sails. We sailed all the way to Cowes (on the Isle of Wight). Continue reading First day sailing!→
At least one of us is excited about the next 5 days sailing! By and large the family is more concerned with not quite knowing what to expect. Joe, it has to be said, is very excited.
We’re spending 5 days & nights together in a more confined space than we’ve ever done before – plus we’ll have the instructor with us. We’ll be spending the night aboard in Gosport tomorrow night and then making way probably to Cowes, Lymington, Yarmouth, Hamble and then back to Gosport.
Today was the last day and we set off early from the Folly Inn after a raucous night.
We headed back out of the Medina and were on the Solent at 8am crusing over for lunch in Langstone harbour. We sailed back through the submarine barrier to return the boat to Gosport for 4pm.
