Long day today. Up at around 7.30am this morning which has definitely been early for us these past few days. Our objective was to sail back from Chichester and this would mean making our way out by 9.30am.
We had a decent lie in this morning and Helen suggested we go for a run along Poole Harbour. We ran for about 5km along the shoreline towards Sandbanks. When we got back the boys had already showered and we breakfasted. Too much to ask for them to have it ready I suppose.
The weather forecast last night didn’t hold out much hope for making it over to Poole which was a real shame. It was looking like hanging out in Yarmouth and then possibly Poole tomorrow. We collected the yacht at around 4pm and as usual it took us ages to load up all the stuff we brought that we won’t need. We were met by Paul who gave us a handover on key systems such as lifting keel, bow thrusters etc.
